Antique Rococo Settee
Currently located at Cowgirl Art Collective in Virginia City, Nevada.
This unique style of antique furniture first appeared in France in the early 18th century, referred to as Rococo and becoming extremely popular in Britain, later referred to as Rococo Revival furniture. These pieces were known for graceful lines, intricate decoration, and fanciful naturalistic motifs which were associated with luxury, aristocracy, refinement, and wealth. This distinctive settee has now been completely restored from the inside out with new materials and finished with a custom paint frame. Upholstered with a one-of-a-kind bold western theme, using quality cowhide, custom canvas print featuring Frederic Remington’s A Dash for the Timber and outside back wrapped with Pendleton® fabric.
